Madeline has known Deanna all of Deanna’s life. Deanna is the second oldest Kienbaum daughter of the DJK clan. Deanna is one of Madeline’s best friends.

Andrea is the third Kienbaum daughter from the DJK clan. She loves to play with any kiddos who are around she says she is looking forward to Madeline and Nick having kids so she can babysit. Andrea loves collecting plants, reading and is always there for anyone who needs her.

Maya is the fourth Kienbaum daughter in the DJK clan. She loves to do wood work and being active with her hands. She is compassionate and has a huge heart. Like all Kienbaums she loves being outside and being active especially with power toys including dirt biking and snowmobiling.

“Miss” Dallas is the youngest of the DJK Kienbaum sisters. She loves to play soccer. Dallas is smart, kind and is a social butterfly. She has a jarring sense of humor and is always surrounded by friends and exudes joyful energy.

Kylie and Madeline were roommates their freshman year at Eastern Washington University. While they didn’t know each other before becoming roommates they have remained friends since.

Maddison and Madeline met on the same camping trip that Nick and Madeline met on. They soon became close chums bonding over their love for the outdoors and spirited conversation.

Nick met Nick Johnson at the Eastern Washington University Newman Center. They both bonded over shared interests, video games, guns, conservatism, Catholic Theology, Whiskey, and the two became close friends. Nick and Nick Johnson were roommates together the year prior to Nick’s departure in Oregon. During that time, Nick Johnson discipled Nick and they both hosted a bible study at their shared apartment in Cheney. Nick and Nick Johnson have many shared memories and experiences of hiking, shooting, and traveling to various camp sites in the inland Northwest. Nick Johnson remains to be one of Nick’s closest friends to this day.

Nick and Josh first met when they were in the third grade at St. Michael’s elementary school in Olympia, Washington in 2006. The two bonded over having a similar sense of humor, some of which became inside jokes that only Nick and Josh understand. After high school, Josh enlisted in the U.S. Army and Nick enlisted in the U.S. Marines. Nick and Josh have shared a common interest of patriotism, and wanting to be of service. Since their time in the service has ended, the two bond over their experiences, both good and bad, while serving in the Military.

Luke Hanson is the third oldest of the Hanson family siblings. Luke and Nick and grew up together in Olympia, WA and both attended St. Mike's Elementary school. Luke now lives in Portland, OR and plays in a band with his cousins. Luke is an inspiration to Nick with his creativity, ear for music, and amazing talent.

Mark is the fourth oldest sibling of the Hanson family. Mark also grew up with his two older brothers, Luke and Nick in Olympia, WA. Nick and Mark both loved to play video games together, and still share this common interest. Mark now serves in the Army National Guard based out of Washington. Nick and Mark bond over their shared love of video games and patriotism.

Nick and Mike met at the EWU Catholic Newman Center. Nick and Mike quickly became friends and shared many common interests, such as guns, beers, video games, and hanging with the Boys. Mike remains one of Nick's closest friends.

Nick met Steven his first year at EWU at the Catholic Newman Center. While Nick did not know anyone at first, Steven went out of his way to invite Nick to events at the Newman Center and would often hangout with at the Pence Union Building on Campus. Nick and Steven have many great shared experiences going on Men's Retreats and attending the FOCUS SEEK conferences. Steven was also a part of Nick's discernment process for joining FOCUS. While Nick did not end up joining FOCUS, he remained on Steven's support team even after Steven and his family moved back to their home town in California. Steven and Nick still bond over video games and hanging with the Boys.
