Brock and Madeline met on September 18th, 2014. From the start Brock blew Madeline away with his sincere honesty, kindness and Texan chivalry. Brock admired Madeline's sense of adventure, humor, and playful personality. They went to dinner with friends and knew their immediate chemistry was something special. A month later they attended their first Texas Tech football game in Lubbock. After the game Brock demolished Madeline in a game of Wii Bowling, which resulted in hours of talking and laughing. From that moment they knew they were a perfect match. Madeline decided to stay out West to finish her graduate degree instead of going back home to Virginia as planned... she knew this man was something special and worth staying for.

A year later Brock took Madeline to Austin to explore with Brock's sister Caitlin and her husband, Jason. At the end of the trip the two of them went to the botanical gardens in Austin. While walking around, Madeline whispered, "Nothing could make this day any better". Secretly carrying a diamond in his pocket, Brock knew how ironic this was. In the midst of other tourists, waterfalls, and flowers, Brock turned to Madeline and said, " Your beauty takes my breath away, your smile melts my heart, your laugh fills my soul, your kiss lifts me off the ground, and wanting to spend the rest of my life with you brings me down to one knee". Slowly Madeline realized what was happening, and in the happiest of tears, she said yes.
