The atmosphere, the memories, and the magic of those rolling hills just felt right — so it only made sense to say “I do” where it all began.

Our Wedding

Dayne Friday and Madeline “Maddie” Larson first met at the University of Wisconsin–Platteville, thanks to mutual acquaintances who happened to bring them together. Maddie was majoring in Criminal Justice and leading the Pioneer Dance Team as captain. With her outgoing personality, goofy sense of humor, and unstoppable energy, she was the kind of person everyone noticed—and remembered. Dayne was studying Mechanical Engineering and playing football, where his calm focus and quiet leadership stood out on and off the field. Thoughtful, steady, and a little reserved, Dayne was the kind of guy who didn’t say much at first—but when he did, people listened. While Maddie was out performing halftime routines, Dayne had already noticed her from the sidelines. He admits now that he had a crush on her pretty much from the start—especially during football season, when her energy could light up the whole stadium. After a few group hangouts, they started talking more and quickly hit it off. That first year together was full of long drives, endless coffee runs, and a lot of effort to make a long-distance schedule work. Maddie brought the spark—always up for an adventure or a laugh—while Dayne brought the calm, grounding presence that made everything feel easy and intentional. Whether they were hiking, hitting the gym, or just driving to meet up for the weekend, they found their rhythm fast. After college, Maddie became a police officer, excited to make a difference in the community. Dayne started his career as a design engineer, solving problems one detail at a time. When the timing felt right, Dayne made the move to be closer to Maddie and her family, and the two finally got to build their lives in the same city. A little over two years later, during a road trip through Oregon, they went on a hike that ended at a gorgeous waterfall. That’s where Dayne proposed—thoughtfully, quietly, and in a way that was perfectly them. Maddie, of course, said yes. These days, not much has changed—they still love being outdoors, working out together, and grabbing coffee anywhere and everywhere. Maddie keeps life fun and full of laughter, and Dayne keeps things grounded and steady. Together, they balance each other perfectly and can’t wait to start this next chapter surrounded by the friends and family who’ve been with them from the start.

Meet my beautiful older sister, Molly — the Matron of Honor and the real star of this wedding (just ask her). She’s basically my built-in best friend, lifelong role model, and the person I’ve spent years trying to be half as good-looking as (she wrote this). From giving me advice I didn’t ask for to making me laugh when I need it most, Molly has been there every step of the way. I couldn’t imagine saying “I do” without her by my side — mostly because she wouldn’t let me.

Andrea and Maddie have been best friends since elementary school — which means she’s seen every awkward haircut, questionable fashion phase, and middle school meltdown along the way. After all these years of friendship, it only feels right to have her standing by my side (and making sure I don’t trip walking down the aisle).

Cade, the groom’s brother and best friend, is standing by Dayne’s side today just like he always has—on and off the field. Just a year apart, these two have been inseparable since childhood, sharing everything from family dinners to Friday night lights as football teammates. Cade’s loyalty, humor, and unwavering support have made him not just the best man for the job—but the best kind of brother anyone could ask for.

James is Dayne’s younger brother and one of his closest partners in crime. Whether they’re gaming, messing with 3D printers, or just hanging out, these two always find a way to have a good time. Dayne’s a big fan of watching James play sports, and James is always down to dive into their next shared hobby. Their bond is all about laughs, friendly competition, and a whole lot of brotherly banter.

Guests are kindly requested to park at the Mill Creek location (the Smoky Mountain Zipline and Canopy Tours lot) rather than at The Magnolia Venue address. Please note that on-site parking is not available at The Magnolia. Complimentary shuttle service will be provided from select hotels and the Mill Creek lot to ensure a smooth arrival for all guests.
