We met while Simon was a 1st year and Maddie a 3rd year at a Georgia Tech Catholic Center capture the flag event. Fr. Branson was introducing Simon as a family friend that was “a cool guy that everyone should get to know.” Maddie, being the good board member she was, made sure to welcome him. Though just a freshmen at the time, there was something about him that caught Maddie’s eye.

In the coming months we would grow in friendship, Maddie playing the upperclassmen card to initiate lunches and conversations, and Simon taking his sweet time to catch the hint. It wasn't long though before we both fell head over heels, and our romance officially began, April 19th, 2021 (Maddie's parents’ anniversary nonetheless, our relationship was blessed from the start!)

Two years of hikes, Catholic Center events, daily masses, meals, Delta flights, and growth brought us all the more closer. Our friend groups slowly merged as we ourselves became best friends. But our journey had really only just begun when on April 30th, 2023 Simon got down on one knee. We are over the moon to begin our forever together, and hope you can get a glimpse of the love we share on our sacred day of union in the sacrament of marriage. St. Ann, pray for us!
