Things to Do

Local Dining

Breakfast is provided by the hotel each morning, and dinner is catered at each evening event. A light lunch will be served on the wedding day and at the post wedding pool party, but we encourage guests to explore the area for other meals as there are so many wonderful options nearby.

Here are a few recommendations:

Ristorante Nuvolari

This is a traditional Enoteca about a five minute walk from the Borgo. We'll be eating our rehearsal dinner here, but it's a great lunch option as well if you don't feel like driving.

Taverna Squarcialupi

This is a fun and lively taverna just a 7 minute drive away from the Borgo in the charming town of Castellina in Chianti. The restaurant boasts a stunning terrace and view and serves the absolute best pici I have ever had.

Ristorante La Bottega del Borgo

The perfect small and kitschy restaurant for a long and leisurely lunch. Known for their pasta, the terrace seating has a perfect view of the historic church of Saint Salvador. The restaurant is situated very close to the Borgo in the town of Castellina in Chianti.

Food Delivery: Gastronomia Porciatti in Castellina In Chianti delivers sandwiches

and pizzas to the venue. You can contact them at +39 0577 740751 or ask reception

to call on your behalf. Gastronomia Porciatti is located at Via Trento e Trieste, 54,

53011 Castellina in Chianti.

Wine Tasting

This pocket of the Chianti region is a stone's throw from dozens of small wineries making the ever iconic, Chianti Classico. Our recommendations are below.

Il Molino di Grace

Stunning winery a short drive from the Borgo with a large outdoor space and expansive wine cellar. No reservations required and they serve very yummy snacks.

Monte Bernardi

An adorable hilltop winery devoted to the Chianti regions' most traditional and original wine making methods. The vineyards onsite are biodynamically farmed and the wines authentically encompass the local terroir of the grounds. The location also has ample shade, perfect for a warm August afternoon.

Poggio Amorelli

The closest wine tasting experience from the Borgo, this winery offers wine and olive oil tastings with a beautiful vineyard view. It's located just a 4 minute drive away, or if you're feeling adventurous, a short bike ride (or long walk but that's prob not a good idea). They offer pairing experiences for both snacks and a full lunch.
