Ryan and Maddie’s love story spans 9 years, 6 states and one Eagles vs Patriots Super Bowl.

The pair met at a party on December 5, 2015 during their sophomore year at North Carolina State University. At the party, Maddie approached Ryan and said, “your name is Ryan and you’re an Eagles fan”. The two reconnected when they attended a movie with a group of friends and were forced to sit next to one another. The romance grew as they bonded over their mutual love for sports, Harry Potter and having fun along with their very similar tastes in music, movies and television shows.

In the following years, they graduated from NC State and took on the challenge of long distance between North Carolina and New Jersey then later Massachusetts and Virginia. Maddie finally joined Ryan in Virginia in the fall of 2020. In July 2021, they packed their bags and moved to New Jersey. However, the bliss of living together was interrupted again when they moved Maddie to Miami for grad school just one month later. The two loved Ryan’s frequent visits to Miami, and were pros at long distance by then.

On August 13, 2023 (Maddie's birthday) Ryan proposed in a private corner of Central Park. Maddie said yes (of course)! Four months later Maddie finally graduated and reunited with Ryan, and this time for good. Maddie and Ryan now call Philadelphia home but truly they are each other’s home.
