Chapter 1: The First Meeting

Madeline and Thomas, causally known as Maddie and Tom, met during their time attending Judson University. Not long after the soon-to-be freshman Maddie committed to JUVB did Tom begin to seek her out.
In their first meeting, Maddie believed that she was too cool to speak to Tom and he agreed.
A week went by after their dreadful first encounter (some of you remember this night) and the pair quickly grew interested in each other.

Chapter 2: Building a Connection

The next weekend, the two met again at a party which then led to a date in the city. They have been inseparable ever since.
In the fall of 2019, you could find Tom and Maddie nonstop playing volleyball, pulling late nights in studio or hanging with their mutual best friends.
Their bond grew and you would scarcely find one without the other.

Chapter 3: Falling in Love

Maddie and Tom’s relationship grew deep into love during the months they were separated by Covid. Long distance is not for the faint of heart and it proved to them that they could last through anything. Constant FaceTime dates and endless amounts of affection sent through the mail allowed them to deepen their connection.
Both Maddie and Tom did not expect to form a love like they have now, but from the early months they knew there was no separating.

Chapter 4: Creating Memories

A year into their relationship, Maddie got a cat named Kitty Moose (who Tom now claims as his own). Their memories with Moose are easily some of their best.
Volleyball also played a big role in their connection as they could bond through playing the same position. Their friends (family) through volleyball also have played a tremendous role in bringing the two together.

Chapter 5: The Proposal

After almost 4 years of dating, Thomas decided there was no one else he would rather love, joke with, and admire every day. He asked Madeline to marry him on May 10, 2023 on a mini vacation to South Carolina.

Chapter 6: A Lifetime of Love

Their love was formed and continues to be strengthened by God. Thomas needed someone to bring spontaneity, inspiration, and tenderness to his life. Madeline needed a person to bring reason, stability, and humor into hers. The two share many similarities but also hold the perfect differences which form a beautiful balance. They believe that God led them each to Judson so that they could find each other.

Epilogue: Happily Ever After

From 2019 to now, the couple has grown from immature kids to strong and resilient young adults. The joy sparked through each other will inspire a lifetime of hard work, dedication, and happiness.
