Maddie and Travis met at Waverly High School in February 2016 and got to know each other better during baseball and softball season, spending time together on bus rides to and from away games. Just a few months later, Travis graduated and headed off to Michigan State. That fall, in October, they had their first date, and by December they were officially together.

After Maddie graduated high school in 2018, she joined Travis at MSU. Between late-night study sessions at the Engineering Building, football games, and standing in line for good seats in the Izzone; they made some of their favorite memories. In 2021, Maddie and Travis adopted Milo, their very spoiled (and very loved) shelter dog.

Travis earned his master’s from MSU and moved to Cincinnati in 2022 to start his job at GE Aerospace. Maddie followed a year later after finishing her own master’s—and yes, they both work at the same company now.

In 2023, Travis surprised Maddie on a mountain lookout in Asheville, NC with a proposal during one of her work trips. She said yes, obviously.

And now here we are—finally getting married and excited to celebrate with all of you!
