Q + A

What is the dress code?

Formal is preferred. For ladies, this includes things like cocktail/maxi dresses, or jumpsuits. For gentlemen, this includes dress pants, dress shirt, blazer, sports jacket, or suit. Colorful attire is encouraged! Please keep in mind our ceremony and reception will both be held outdoors. Please dress accordingly in something that is comfortable!

Where should I park at the venue?

Our venue is located on top of a hill! To accommodate this, we ask that our guests please park in the guest lot at the base of the hill upon arriving. There will be signage and staff members directing you to where to park. A shuttle will then pick you up and drop you off outside the front of the ~castle~. The shuttle will be operating all evening in 10-minute increments. Disability parking closer to the venue is available upon request. Please reach out to Maddie with questions about this!

Is there a hotel block for guests?

Yes! We have a hotel block option for guests who are interested. There are also local Air Bnb's within 20 min of the venue available. Please see the "Travel" tab for more information.

Is there a cocktail hour?

Yes! Our ceremony and reception are both being held at the castle. Following the ceremony, guests will be directed underneath a pavilion to find their seats, drink, and mingle. The bridal party and family will be taking pictures nearby in the meantime.

Are kids welcome?

Yes, our wedding is kid-friendly. Our venue offers ample space for kids to enjoy the evening as well. If you have further questions, please reach out to Maddie or Riley directly.

Does Uber reach the venue?

Yes, our wedding venue coordinator has confirmed Uber reaches our venue. However, please be mindful that our wedding is the same weekend at CWS and is located in rural Iowa. Uber's may need to be scheduled in advance to secure a safe ride. Please plan accordingly.

What if the weather is poor?

Our venue can accommodate weather changes appropriately. The ceremony space will be held outside, and the reception will be held under a covered outdoor pavilion. In the event of poor weather, the entire evening will be moved under the covered pavilion. The pavilion offers fans, heating, and drop-down walls to be used as needed. There are air-conditioned restrooms available underneath the pavilion.
