Our story begins in college at St. Thomas - it was Tyson's Senior year, and my Junior year. There are two sides to every story, and here is ours!

Maddy's Side

I always went out with my roommate Jenna during college. At some point we started going out with some of our guy friends and pregaming at their apartment on campus. On this particular day Jenna wanted to go out and I specifically remember sitting on our apartment couch saying that tonight I didn't want to go. She let me know that our guy friends were pregaming at a different house with other guys tonight and "there is going to be a super cute guy there." I pulled up his instagram to see if she was serious and then decided I guesssssss I could make an appearance and go out.

Getting to this new pregame now, there was maybe 6 people there.... QUITE small. Immediately Jenna and I felt slightly out of place but Tyson came up and introduced himself to us, and then a bit later on asked me to be his beer pong partner and offered me a Bud Light that I forced down (he now knows I am not a beer girl).

That night we all went out to the bar together and the rest is history! Although Tyson describes it to me as a bit more love at first sight ; - ) After that he Insta DM'd me until he got my Snapchat, snapchatted me until he got my number, and we have been talking ever since that pregame.

Tyson's Side

I was just starting my final semester as a college student. It was like any other Thursday night before I headed out to the bar with my friends - a couple of the boys listening to some Big Bootie Mixes and turning Bud Light cans into wizard staffs.

One of my friends gave me a call and asked if he can bring a couple of his girl friends to the pregame (if you could even call it that) and I saw no harm in having some extra people there. Right when they walked in I saw Maddy and knew I had to go say hello. I really do believe it was love at first sight and instantly felt drawn to her, partly because she was willing to be my partner for beer pong.

Despite my lack of quality beverages to offer her that night, she decided to keep talking to me and we have talked every day since then.

Where Our Story Comes Back Together

Following graduation we decided to venture off on our own a bit and moved to Arizona. In the warm sunshine we explored a new state together, lived together for the first time, supported each other through new jobs and companies, got engaged, adopted our first puppy together (Archie), and became closer every day. Luckily, throughout these adventures Tyson knows how to read a map.. we only got lost on a hike maybeee one time.

At some point we grew out of our apartment and decided we wanted to buy a house closer to our family and friends (buying a house was quite the process to figure out together) but now we are happy in our house in Burnsville, MN (close to the Costco of course) with a new puppy addition (Rocky), and navigating life through these new stages together.

We are so grateful for all of our family and friends that have been a part of our story along the way, thank you for loving us, supporting us, and celebrating with us soon!
