Though we'd like to say we met at church, Hayden and I met through the dating app, Hinge. Hayden had made the first move by liking a prompt of mine, mentioning how I loved Jesus (this was my first indication he was a catch ;)) and less than 24 hours later, we were on our first date. If you don't know the full story, make sure to ask Hayden what his move was to get me to go out with him... he's very proud of that story.


On on first date at Cafe Ba-ba-Reeba! in Lincoln Park, both Hayden and I were impressed with one another -- we had so much more in common than we had anticipated! But it was our second date that we both knew we had found something special. Even though Hayden was 45 minutes late to the date he planned (thanks, Spot Hero), I was too excited to see this boy she just met. It also helped that he had planned a date at North Avenue beach with Chick-fil-A & wine involved. SWOON! Turns out a couple of hours at the beach, some (kind of cold) chicken nuggets and special conversation was all we needed to know that we struck gold.


Fast forward a little over a year later, our second date spot was the place that Hayden proposed. We're so grateful for our story - it was all completely dependent on the goodness of God and providing a special person for one another. We can't wait to celebrate this silly, sweet story with all of you!
