We met in 2019 at a Goodyear team meeting in Atlanta, GA. At dinner one evening, we happened to sit next to each other, and what started as small talk quickly turned into laughter, a shared bottle of wine, and a late-night golf cart ride. That night sparked something special.
In the months that followed, we stayed in touch as friends. Dylan was always there to offer support while Madi was adjusting to her new role at Goodyear. Then came a work conference in Denver in February 2020—where everything changed. One night at Howl at the Moon, Madi grabbed Dylan’s hand, and suddenly our friendship shifted into something more.
When we got back from Denver, we knew we wanted to see each other again soon. A few weeks later, we had our first official date at The Stubborn Mule in Orlando, FL. It felt easy and exciting. As we talked, we discovered that while we met in Florida, we actually grew up just two hours apart—Madi a Spartan fan, Dylan a Wolverine fan.
Not long after, the world shut down. COVID hit, and like everyone, we found ourselves navigating lockdown. While it was a challenging time, it gave us the chance to truly get to know each other. We spent countless hours on the phone, building a deep connection through conversations that lasted late into the night. At the time, Dylan had just moved to Charlotte, and travel wasn’t easy—but we made it work, visiting each other whenever we could.
Eventually, during a trip to Asheville, NC, Dylan made things official. In true Dylan fashion, he asked Madi to be his girlfriend in front of our friends—opting for a grand, slightly embarrassing gesture that made the moment unforgettable.
Soon after, Dylan made the move back to Florida—not just to the same city as Madi, but into the same apartment building. It didn’t take long for us to realize we were building something real. So when Dylan received a job opportunity in Fort Lauderdale, there was no hesitation. We packed up, moved in together, and started the next chapter in our very first home.
Since then, our relationship has grown through career changes, travel all around the world, personal growth, and countless cherished moments.
Almost five years after that night in Denver, Dylan got down on one knee in Sorrento, Italy, and asked Madi to marry him—true to form, with another grand gesture that was equal parts romantic and unforgettable, bringing our story full circle.
The past five years have been full of unexpected turns, exciting changes, and a whole lot of love. We’re so grateful for every moment that’s brought us here—and for the friends and family who’ve been part of the journey. Now, we can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with you.
Cheers to love, laughter, and forever.
