Maddie and Colin first met during their freshman year of college at Texas A&M University as they lived in the same dorm and ran in the same circle of friends. Fast forward to 3 years later, Maddie asked Colin to be her date to her sorority's semi-formal and they both knew then that they were more than friends. After many dates around College Station, Colin asked Maddie to officially be his girlfriend. Their relationship blossomed over the next few months as they wrapped up their time at Texas A&M.

They started their long-distance relationship as Maddie moved to West Texas to start medical school. Despite their busy schedules, these 4 years consisted of many flights and road trips back and forth to spend free weekends with each other, and they even squeezed in many travels.

In March 2023, Maddie matched to JPS Hospital in Fort Worth for her OB/GYN residency, and they were both ecstatic to be moving to their dream city! They have enjoyed being close to family and exploring Fort Worth.

On December 22nd, 2023, Colin planned an intimate and thoughtful proposal. He made what seemed like casual plans to go to happy hour downtown and then brought her to look at the holiday lights at the Kimbell Museum where he got down on his knee and asked her to marry him. After enjoying a nice dinner together, Colin brought Maddie to his aunt's house where he had their family and close friends there to surprise her and celebrate their engagement!

We are so excited to spend the rest of our lives together and to celebrate with all of our people!!
