Cody and I met at First Baptist Church - Pasadena in the Pursuit Sunday school class. However, we did not actually begin getting to know one another until our class went on a mission trip to Stephenville, Texas to help at a group foster home for children. We both rode with our mutual friends (shoutout Noah and Abby Mathews) and that is where our connection began. Soon after the mission trip, we began talking regularly, and we went on our first date on 4/20/2023. With Christ at the center, our relationship developed quickly. We have been on a variety of trips including Tyler, TX; New Braunfels, TX; San Antonio, TX; Kerrville, TX; and Ruston, LA. On February 4, 2024, at Haley and Justin Saenzs wedding, Madelyn caught the bouquet and Cody caught the garter. Just a couple weeks later, Cody proposed on February 18, 2024 at the same place we met, First Baptist Church - Pasadena. Now, we are getting married on March 15, 2025, and we are excited for the future God has in store for us.
