We wanted an excuse to party, so we're getting FIG-gin' married! Welcome to our wedding website and the start of our forever. Love, The Future Figoritos
It all started after study hall in April 2016. Madelyn was so nervous to finally talk to Anthony that she stumbled to type her number in his phone. After not getting a single text for a few days, she just assumed he was too good to be true. Her dream crush wasn't interested. Then, he finally slid into her DM's on Instagram. All to tell her that she typed her own phone number wrong. He told her how he went through all the possible numbers it could've been to see if one of them was hers. At least he was persistent, and they hit it off.
A month later, he asked her to prom on the same track where they avoided eye-contact for weeks. Fun fact: Anthony assumed because he asked Madelyn to prom, that that automatically meant they were dating. After some deliberation between him and his buddies, he was persuaded to ask her out on an actual date.
In the series of awkward fumbles that was the beginning, it only made sense that Anthony went to the wrong house to pick Maddy up on their first date. By the end of it, they were nervously sitting on the Sayville dock. Two 17-year old kids. With feelings. And (again), avoiding eye contact. Looking out to the water for what felt like hours. Anthony FINALLY kissed her (which I think means that he liked her), and the rest is history. Now they've built a home and a love to last a lifetime and beyond.
In April 2026, the two will be celebrating a decade together. In that time, they've wandered through numerous creeks, slept under countless stars, and hiked too many hills to count together. They've said hello to every little bird and critter they saw through those hills, and laughed in front of a cozy campfire dozens of times. With their love of nature, it was only fitting for Anthony to pop the question at Yosemite National Park after 8 years together (and Maddy's not so subtle hinting).
The opposites in the best of ways, they truly found their home with one another. She still doesn't know how to put up a tent, she often cries after one glass of wine, and is constantly losing her car keys and phone. He can solve any problem, open any jar, and has a spreadsheet for just about anything. She thinks it's okay to fall asleep to horror movies, and he thinks it's okay to still wear shirts from middle school. He's held her hand through it all, and helped her heal. She's been there to push him outside his comfort zone, and to ask "Do you want to get a sweet treat?" every night.
They've lived the vows, "for better or for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health" already in more ways than they can count. All they need are you, and the "I Do"s to make this thing official! #TheFutureFigoritos ♡
Their cats, Rotini & Cheddar, couldn't be happier for them! (Rotini already bought her tux for the wedding)
