“Our Story” officially starts in 2013 at John G. Borden Middle School, where Kevin and Madelyn met for the first time in their 7th grade math class. For Madelyn it was akin to love at first sight, and it feels like she has been madly in love with Kevin since the day she met him. After their first meeting, they kept their connection alive with conversations through an app called KIK. These conversations continued over the next couple of years, and only strengthened their connection. However, as Madelyn and Kevin got older and their lives became more complicated, as they often do, their communication dwindled.

Their story did not end here though, as it could have, because once junior year of high school came around Kevin realized what he missed out on in middle school and knew he needed to do something to fix it. After they both had a couple of failed relationships, Madelyn and Kevin began to reconnect, not through KIK this time but through Snapchat and instagram .

In the spring of 2018, Madelyn had her junior prom right around the corner and she didn’t have a date yet. So she bravely asked Kevin if he’d like to accompany her. After much convincing from Madelyn, Kevin hesitantly said yes. His hesitation stemming from the fact that he and Madelyn were about to go from not seeing eachother for a year to now going on their very first date to Madelyn’s junior prom. However, Madelyn’s bravery paid off, because after her junior prom their love quickly grew for each other.

Kevin and Madelyn officially started dating on April 29, 2018 and have been by each other’s sides ever since. As they’ve grown together, both as people and in their relationship, they’ve found several passions that allow them to spend quality time together doing what they love. One of these passions is their cars. Whether it’s working on an exhaust system in Madelyn’s mom’s garage, or driving over 4 hours to connect with new friends at a car show to show off all the work they’ve done, Kevin and Madelyn make sure to take the time together to do what they love. In addition to all the work they put into their cars, they also decided that they wanted to make space in their lives for another passion of theirs, fur babies! In February of 2020 Kevin and Madelyn decided to adopt their first little fur baby Marlee! She was the best decision they didn’t even know they were making. Neither of them knew what a huge role she would play in their lives, nor the amount of love and connection she would add to their already thriving relationship.

After countless BBQ date nights, car shows, and quality time together over the next few years, we can fast forward their story to July 14th, 2023 when Kevin FINALLY got down on one knee and asked Madelyn to marry him! If you know them, you know they couldn’t get engaged without their cars, so Kevin waited for a beautiful and HOT day to convince Madelyn to take pictures of their cars at a bird sanctuary in Gardiner NY. Little did Madelyn know, that the perfect moment she had been waiting for, would be captured with their beautiful cars in the background and the sounds of birds in the trees.

In August of 2023 they officially got their own apartment and continued their lives together, adding more fur babies along the way. Marlee of course, and three new beautiful bottle baby kittens Madelyn assured Kevin they wouldn’t have to keep. However, between Madelyn’s persistence and the cuteness factor of all three kittens Mia, Finn, and Blair, Kevin never stood a chance. Now, a year later as they prepare to take the next step in their relationship, they are a family of six! No human babies yet😉, but Marlee, Mia, Finn, and Blair make their little family feel complete.

As they look to the next steps and their future, Kevin and Madelyn know life loves throwing curve balls, but they also know that no matter what they will have each others backs and always be by each other’s side.
