Brian and Madelyn met through a mutual friend in the summer of 2014. Both share an interest in the field of criminal justice which led to lengthy conversations, applying for jobs, occasional training at the gym, and eventually to their first date. Brian took Madelyn to La Fiesta to show her what a “real marg” was and from there the relationship took off. Their relationship has grown from two young adults talking about their dream careers to a college graduation, a police academy graduation, two new careers, a new townhome together, and the rescue of their “son” Hooch. Brian popped the question on November 2, 2017 while they were out with Hooch on their usual route over a walking bridge. Brian and Madelyn are looking forward to dancing, drinking, and celebrating their love with friends and family in fall 2019.
