If you ask Chris:

After graduating college in 2022, I was in a bit of a low spot in my life. While I was excited to finally have my degree and enter the “real world”, I felt that a lot was missing. The most troubling of these missing pieces was that I hadn’t found the one I would spend the rest of my life with.

Over the next year or so, my hope of finding “the one” only diminished. It wasn’t until I had lost all hope that someone truly special came into my life and changed everything.

In the weeks leading up to a Labor Day weekend trip to the lake, my good friend Brennan began telling me about his friend, Madelynn, who was attending ultrasound school in Alabama. He told me how we had so much in common and wanted her to come up so he could introduce us. After learning all about her and even seeing a few pictures of her, I was very interested but was similarly doubtful that anything would come of it. It honestly just sounded too good to be true. When we finally met that weekend and I had the chance to get to know her, we really hit it off! I absolutely loved everything about her, and was genuinely dumbfounded that a girl like this wasn’t already taken! I just adored how fun and sweet she was. As someone who normally isn’t much of a talker, I was also thrilled with how easy she was to talk to! With Maddie, everything just felt so natural, and it was as if I’d known her my whole life. All in all, everything just felt *right*. By the end of the weekend, I realized that Madelynn was the one I’d been waiting for and that I needed her in my life. Over the next weeks and months, Madelynn had me saying and doing things I never thought I would. Needless to say, Maddie changed my life for the better, and to say that I’m much happier with her would be an understatement. She is the love of my life, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of it with her!

If you ask Maddie:

After living in Wisconsin my whole life and always being close to family, the last thing on my mind was moving across the country. However, God had other plans. After being put on the wait list for ultrasound school in early 2022 my schooling came to a quick halt. After looking and finding more waitlist options my dad finally found a school in Alabama. However, the thought of moving that far scared me so the first words out of my mouth were "no, I will never move to Alabama". Fast forward to December of 2022 and I found myself making the move to southern Alabama to attend school. As scared as I was I am more than thankful I made the move.

When I moved I was CONVINCED in 12 months I would be right back in Wisconsin, but little did I know I was going to find the one that would make any place feel like home.

In the start of 2023 the only thing on my mind was studies and getting settled in Alabama. One of the last things on my mind was dating. Fast forward to summer, I was talking to my friend Brennan who happened to be good friends with Chris as well. He was telling me about his friend, Chris, explaining how we would be a good fit together. Labor day weekend that year, I finally met this Chris guy that I had been told about and learned very quickly he was nothing short of the perfect guy for me. I learned he was hard working, confident in who he is, kind and fun to be around. Needless to say, our friend happens to be a pretty good matchmaker and I will never regret making the trip to TN that weekend :)
