Our Wedding

Our love story began in June 2023, when we both swiped right! After Hunter took some time to move into his first apartment in Hartland, Wisconsin, and start his career, we finally began talking in July 2023. Even before we had met, we were instantly falling for one another. Before meeting, we had several long FaceTime calls (the longest was over 8 hours!), and were texting each other constantly. After being glued to our phones for 2 weeks, we decided to meet up for pizza and to watch How I Met Your Mother. We restarted the first episode about 10 times, but never actually watched it, because we just had so much to talk about! 6 days later, on our second date at Dorsia, Hunter officially asked Madi to be his girlfriend. And the rest is history! We spent lots of time together over the next couple months, and went on dates to concerts, apple picking, and even planned a trip! We went to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in January 2024. This trip solidified for both of us that we were ready to take our relationship to the next level, and we talked about moving in together! We spent a lot of time day dreaming about our future, and had a lot of conversations over what our life would look like together. Every day we found ourselves falling deeper in love. We finally moved in together to an apartment in Brookfield, Wisconsin, in May 2024. Our relationship deepened as we learned the intricacies of living together. We quickly adapted to one another, and fell into a routine perfect for both of our jobs and schedules. We both have thoroughly enjoyed seeing each other every day! The next 9 months were spent doing everything together, and made even the most mundane tasks fun! We enjoy going grocery shopping, cooking, going on walks, and reading together on the daily, and still love going to concerts, trying new restaurants, and exploring together. Although our time together hasn’t been as extensive as some couples, we truly have filled every minute together with love! From the beginning, our relationship moved quickly, and has never slowed down or paused. When you know, you know! On February 16th, 2025, while on a weekend trip to Geneva, Illinois to see some of Madi’s college friends, Hunter proposed at the Herrington Inn. He had every detail planned out, including a photographer, and with some help from Madi’s friends, was even able to surprise her! We will forever cherish the Herrington Inn, and plan to visit regularly! Now, as we prepare to get married in September, we continue to dream about our bright future together. After our wedding, we would like to continue to travel together, start the process of becoming homeowners, and eventually become parents (to both pets and kids!). We are both so excited to see what our future holds!

We recommend booking a room for at least Saturday night. The ceremony and dinner will conclude at about 7:30pm, and all wedding guests are invited to attend the after wedding celebration to the bars with us! You can book at our reserved rate using the link below, or calling the Heidel House and sharing that you're part of Hunter and Madi's wedding. Anyone planning to stay on Friday night/arriving early on Saturday, is welcome to get ready with the bride and groom at the Heidel House as well.
