What is the Timeline?

The ceremony and wedding will both be at The Bar Harbor Club. The wedding ceremony will begin at 5:00 PM. We ask that you arrive 15 minutes early to find a seat. Cocktail hour will be held on the patio from 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM. The reception will follow the cocktail hour.

Transportation

If you are staying at the Harborside Hotel, the Bar Harbor Club is adjacent. If you are staying at the West Street Hotel or other hotels in the downtown Bar Harbor area then most are walkable to the venue. There will be paid parking options at the hotel.

Are children welcome at the wedding?

To allow guests to relax and enjoy themselves we have chosen to make our special day adults only. We thank you for understanding! However, little ones are welcome to join us at our Welcome Party on August 28th!

Is there a dress code?

To ensure that our special day is celebrated with elegance and style, we kindly request that all guests adhere to a formal dress code as below: For Women:A formal evening gown or mid-floor length cocktail dresses.Dress shoes, such as heels or dressy flats, are recommended.Please avoid wearing white, off-white, or ivory, as this is reserved for the bride. For Men:A suit &amp; polished dress shoes. Additional Notes:Please ensure your attire is respectful and refined, in keeping with the formality of the occasion.We kindly ask that guests refrain from wearing casual attire, such as jeans, sneakers, or sundresses.It can get a bit chilly at night even in the summer so I recommend packing a light blazer or jacket.

Can I bring a guest?

If your invitation includes a guest, we’re happy to have them join us. If your invitation is addressed to you only, please kindly respect that the invitation is for one person.

Can I take photos at the wedding?

We kindly ask that you refrain from taking photos during the ceremony, as we have a professional photographer capturing the special moments. Feel free to take photos at the reception!

Getting to Bar Harbor

Bar Harbor, ME, is primarily served by the Hancock County-Bar Harbor Airport (BHB), which is about 10 miles from downtown Bar Harbor. Here are some options for getting there: Direct Flights:During peak tourist season, there are typically direct flights from major cities like Boston, New York, and Philadelphia. Airlines such as United and Cape Air often operate these routes.Connecting Flights:If direct flights aren’t available, you can fly into Bangor International Airport (BGR), which is about an hour's drive from Bar Harbor. From there, you can rent a car, take a shuttle, or use a taxi service.Alternative Airports:Consider flying into other nearby airports, such as Portland International Jetport (PWM) or Boston Logan International Airport and renting a car

There are plenty of beautiful hikes/trails to get some movement in and enjoy gorgeous views. Here are some of our favorites: Jordon pond loop:Distance: 3.2 milesDifficulty: EasyA lovely loop around Jordan Pond with beautiful views of the Bubbles Mountains. It's mostly flat and great for families. The Bubbles Trail:Distance: About 3.5 miles (round trip)Difficulty: ModerateThe hike typically starts at the Jordan Pond House. The trail ascends through a beautiful forest and leads to the two peaks known as the Bubbles (South Bubble and North Bubble).The South Bubble is the more popular peak, featuring a rocky summit with breathtaking views of Jordan Pond, the surrounding mountains, and the Atlantic Ocean in the distance. Beehive:Distance: 1.4 miles (loop)Difficulty: Moderate to strenuousKnown for its steep ascent with iron rungs and fantastic views of the surrounding area from the summit.
