Our Story 

Zach and Madison met at the gym at the end of 2022. There were instant sparks. Zach excitedly called his mom (Madison's co-worker) after the workout to learn more about her. It took him awhile, but he finally asked Madison out. The first date ended in defeat for Madison, as she lost at the bowling alley. Despite this, the first date turned into a weekend of hanging out. They instantly clicked and it was so easy to talk to each other. They both knew they had found their person (although Madison has still not won a game of bowling). After a few months of dating, the couple decided to move forward with their relationship and get married. After a lot of planning with family and friends, Zach picked the perfect night to propose - a Tuesday. Since Madison is very good at figuring things out and knew Zach was proposing soon, it was the only night she wouldn't suspect. Zach planned out a nice dinner and everything was going perfect..... until Madison googled the nice restaurant. She had her suspicions that Zach could be proposing, but she didn't believe it since it was a Tuesday. Before dinner, Zach planned a walk through the Botanical Garden at Georgia Southern. He even went so far as to have her best friend, Hope, hidden in the bushes to take photos. Hope gave the best description of the couple walking in the garden, "All I could see was Zach dragging Madison to the spot. He wouldn't let her stop to read or look around and I knew then that if she didn't already know he was proposing she could probably tell from the way he was sweating bullets." As they approached the spot, Zach got down on one knee and gave a beautiful speech that he showed her later because he forgot half of it on the spot. When we played back the recording of the proposal all that could be heard were the sirens in the distance. Somehow though, everyone involved in this romantic surprise were deaf to the noise and only heard an enthusiastic Yes! from Madison. Nevertheless, it was a beautiful moment that the couple will never forget. Zach then had a surprise party at his parent's house with all their family and friends. The couple cannot wait to have all their family and friends gathered in one place to celebrate the start of their own family.

What to Wear 

We did not block off any rooms for out of town guest, but we recommend the Hampton Inn Statesboro. This hotel is right across the street from Walmart Neighborhood Market. There are also many restaurants nearby as well as Georgia Southern University.
