We grew up knowing one another, but it wasn’t until high school when we found ourselves at social events with mutual friends that we actually became friends ourselves. We attend the same church and were both involved in the youth group, church camps and mission trips together throughout our high school years. Our relationship began during our senior year of high school. While on a spring break trip to Florida, Austin began subtly flirting with me, but I did not even realize it until the last day of our trip when his attention became obvious. We were both worried that after returning home, our relationship would become awkward. The week after our return, however, Austin made it very clear that he had deep feelings and wanted to pursue a relationship. Our official first date was April 5th 2019. Then, on April 8th, Austin asked me to be his prom date and girlfriend. As we began our relationship, we found it brought a lot of change, joy, and happiness. We instantly knew we were meant to be. One year, 5 months, and 20 days later, we are engaged, getting ready to marry, and start our happy lives together forever and ever. <3
