The dress code is garden cocktail. We encourage spring/summer colors, dresses, jumpsuits, sport coats with slacks, and suits. You can't go wrong with a midi- or maxi- length floral dress or jumpsuit, or a suit in a seasonally-appropriate fabric! For shoes, we do recommend a block heel or flat shoe as the cocktail hour will be partially on grass.

Yes! Transportation to and from the venue will be provided from the Sheraton Greensboro at Four Seasons. The buses will leave for the venue at 4:15 PM and make returns to the hotel at 9 PM, 10 PM, and 11 PM. As a note, we have been warned that ride share (Uber/Lyft) is not always reliable late at night near our venue. We do not recommend relying on ride share services, especially for leaving the venue at the end of the night.

Yes! If you choose to drive to the venue there are 2 parking lots that can accommodate approximately 100 cars. There are also 5 designated handicap spaces and 4 spaces close to the ceremony location if needed, but we ask that you reserve these spaces for our less mobile guests. Cars MUST be moved from the venue by 9 AM the following day to avoid towing.

All events for the wedding will take place at Covington Gardens. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors and the reception will be a short walk to a covered outdoor tent. For more information about the venue please see their website at https://covingtongardens.com/

The ceremony will begin at 5:00 PM. We kindly ask that guests arrive 10-15 minutes early. If you are using the provided transportation, the buses will be leaving at approximately 4:15 PM from the specified hotel.

Greensboro Airport (GSO) is the closest to the venue and located about 15 minutes away by car from the hotel and 30 minutes from the venue. Raleigh-Durham International (RDU) is located approximately 1 hour from the venue by car or 1.5 hours by train. Charlotte Douglas International (CLT) is located approximately 1.5 hours by car or train.

Due to water liability from the pond on the property, we are having a child free wedding. While we love your children, we hope you can use this as an opportunity to unwind and celebrate with us!

We expect the weather to be warm, but it can be unpredictable ranging from 60-80 degrees and sunshine to rain. Please be sure to dress appropriately and hydrate. There is a house on the property that can accommodate a limited number of guests and can be used for cooling down. Please be considerate of our older guests who may need the seating and cool air in the house. If you have any personal concerns please feel free to reach out to us as well!

If there is inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved to under the tent on the Meadow, cocktail hour inside the Hansen House, and the reception will remain under the tent.

Our caterer is aware that several of our guests will require gluten free options! You will be able to designate your gluten free option on your RSVP. We will offer two meat and one vegetarian option as well. If you have more specific concerns please don't hesitate to reach out!

Seating will be provided during the ceremony at Carter Pond and the reception at the Garden Pavilion. There will be limited seating during the cocktail hour both outside in the Meadow and inside the Hansen House. We ask that you kindly reserve this seating for our elderly and less mobile guests if possible. There will be a short walk from the ceremony site to cocktail hour and from cocktail hour to the reception tent. As mentioned, there are several close parking spaces and designated handicap spaces if needed. Please let us know if you have any accessibility concerns!

This will be an open bar wedding. Please drink responsibly. Drinking in the parking lots or outside the view of Covington Gardens staff is not permitted. Outside alcohol or other illegal substances cannot be brought onto the property and there will be fines for such. Security is required at our venue for the safety of everyone. Please be respectful and follow the rules of the venue :)
