Our Wedding

Would you believe me if I told you I vomited in front of Sam the first time we met? Okay okay, long story short..It was Memorial Day 2023, and my friend and I met up with Sam and Travis to go offshore fishing at 4 in the morning. The weather was perfect, but the waves were rough…and my friend got seasick. I was totally fine until we slowed down and the boat started rolling. I ended up vomiting over the side of the boat into the ocean thinking, “This man will never see me again”. It was a reel mess, but Sam was a total gentleman about it. He even asked me to grab breakfast at Waffle House afterward, which I thought was really nice of him, considering I thought he’d never want to speak to me again. We ended up spending the whole day together and really clicked. We went to Folly Beach, got Mexican food, and just had a great time. I’m so thankful he didn’t let a little vomit ruin our chances.

Sam and I never left each other’s side after our day date. We fell fast and hard, and even spent a weekend in Maggie Valley a month after knowing each other. We knew we wanted to meet each other’s families next. Sam met Alana first as we spent such a memorable week in Portland, Maine. Of course with the sister’s approval, I knew he was the one.

Inseparable 

After we met each other’s families, we  knew this was pretty serious! We had so much fun all Summer going on the boat, going to a Koe Wetzel concert, praising the Lord at a Brandon Lake concert, beach days, oh and a Lauren Daigle concert! We went to a lot of concerts together lol. Many road trips later, Sam helped me buy a new car, too. So sweet! It was time to move out of my apartment come May, so … 

Falling in love

WE BOUGHT A HOUSE! Sam and I were so happy with this decision, and loved making this house a home together. Friends and family came to visit to see the big purchase and little did I know, my entire family came down and surprised me July 13th weekend. I was working night shift at the time, so when I came home at 730 in the morning, Trinda was on the couch recording me when I walked in. I looked over in my kitchen and my family was there! I slept a couple hours and we had a fun beach day! When we got back, we showered and headed to a restaurant near Folly Beach. We wanted to go to the beach to watch the sunset and little did I know ..

Homeowners 

SAM PROPOSED! I had no idea it was coming, and when we walked up onto the beach, to the right was a beautiful rose heart with a little sign that read “Will You Marry Me?” He had photographers capturing the unforgettable moment, while our family walked behind us. Our story just keeps getting better. We love each and every one of you, and we’re so excited to celebrate our Marriage  with you all!
