Grant asks Madison to be his girlfriend, and they go on their first official date! As Grant remembers it Madison ordered the messiest sandwich for a first date, and he made fun of her the whole time.

Madison makes her first trip to Minnesota where she meets the rest of Grant's family at the Morgan's lake house for their family reunion.

Madison studies abroad in Sydney while Grant stays in Wisconsin for an internship. They have their ups and down during long-distance, but reunite in Wisconsin for their senior year.

Madison and Grant graduate from the University of Wisconsin! Grant takes a job at Centene in Chicago. Madison enters her Master's program at Purdue University.

COVID hits. Grant is indefinitely working from home, and Madison's classes get moved online. Madison drives to and from Chicago to bring Grant to Indianapolis for some fresh air and grass.

After finishing her Master's degree, Madison accepts a job in IL. Grant and Madison move into their new home in Chicago.

After their 6-year anniversary trip to Portugal (where Madison thought Grant was proposing), Madison and Grant go to Breckenridge for a family vacation. Grant tells Madison they are taking Christmas pictures. Madison has a panic attack in the bathroom 30 minutes before the pictures but convinces herself he is not proposing. Grant waits until the end of family pictures to get down on one knee.
