How We Met

In 2021, we met through our old job at Zaxbys. He had one of our now favorite bands playing while he was doing dishes. Like the klutz I am, I had messed up my leg from slipping in the dishroom at work, and was sitting in the back taking orders. He came by me to get into the office and I asked if he was the one playing and he said yes I am and I said good choice and he walked away smiling. When his break came he had asked if I wanted anything and he made us both food and sat back there at the table with me while we ate and talked and fell in love in the most random place.

The Proposal

The first time around I messed it up and found the ring in the mail (the package was in my name) When I got inside I opened it and there sat one of the prettiest rings i think ive ever seen. He asked what I had in my hand and when I showed him, he had a look of defeat on his face. I asked if it was what I thought it was and he said yes. We hugged and he put the ring on my finger.

Now, the second time around, it was my 21st birthday. We went to the mall and then went to dinner and I had my first (legal) alcoholic drink. We came home and I fell asleep on the couch when I woke up he nudged me through our bedroom and to the bathroom door. On said door, there was a note he had written telling me happy birthday and that he loves me and hopes i enjoyed my day. I smiled and gave him a hug then walked into the bathroom. He had ran me a bubble bath with my favorite soap and had pajamas and a towel waiting for me. When i turned around he was in the doorway on one knee with a little lavender box in his hand and asked me to be his wife. (Obviously i said yes)
