Where and when are the ceremony and reception taking place?
Both the ceremony and reception will be located at 'The Lookout' at Hope Lake Lodge! The ceremony will start at 5:30 PM.
Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Weather permitting, the ceremony will be outdoors. Cocktail hour will be under a covered outdoor pavilion, and the reception is indoors. In the case of rain, the ceremony will be moved indoors.
Will there be transportation?
There will be a shuttle running between the venue and Hope Lake Lodge. The shuttle will begin 45 minutes prior to ceremony start, and stop 10 minutes prior. Additionally, the shuttle will transport between the lodge and reception every 15 minutes for the rest of the evening as needed. There are 2 handicapped spots at the venue. If you need access to these spots, please let us know ahead of time!
Can I drive to the ceremony?
According to venue policy, cars cannot drive directly to the venue. We request that all guests plan to use the shuttle from Hope Lake Lodge, directly to The Lookout. Please plan to arrive on time, because the shuttle will stop 10 minutes prior to the ceremony. The shuttle will begin again following the ceremony, but late guests cannot be accommodated and will not be able to attend until cocktail hour.
What should I wear for the wedding day?
We want all of our guests to look and feel their best! We request that guests follow formal attire. Cocktail or full length dresses for ladies, and suits of any color for men.
Am I allowed to bring my kids?
In an effort to allow all of our guests to celebrate without little eyes and ears, we politely request no children under the age of 12.
Will there be time between the ceremony and cocktail hour/reception?
Following the ceremony, cocktail hour will begin directly after at the same location.
If I am coming to the Welcome Reception, what should I wear?
This will be a bit more casual. Think dressy-casual: summery-dresses, button up shirts, golf shorts, etc.
If I am coming to the wedding, do I have to come to the welcome party?
No! Because this is a holiday weekend, we wanted to include everyone in our rehearsal/welcome party. All are more than welcome, and we would love to have you, but it is absolutely not necessary if you cannot attend!
