Like many couples these days, Will and I met online. We were not exactly expecting much, but curious enough to start chatting. Once we got past the usual small talk, something just clicked, and we decided to meet in person.Our first date was supposed to be a scenic hike at Providence Canyon in South Georgia, but Mother Nature had other plans. Rain changed our adventure into a casual sandwich date at Which Wich. Not quite the romantic outing you'd picture, but definitely memorable! Will was convinced I hated him because I was quiet and wouldn’t make much eye contact. What he didn’t know was that I was just incredibly nervous. I never expected to actually like a random guy from the internet!After our date, I messaged him right away to say thank you and that I’d love to see him again. And we did. Again and again. A few dates later, Will asked me to be his girlfriend while we were hanging out on the futon in my freshman dorm room.Over the last eight years, we’ve shared so many incredible adventures together, and we’ve never stopped wanting more. Then, on July 20, 2024, while hiking in the breathtaking Sawtooth Mountains in Idaho, Will got down on one knee and told me it was my last hike as his girlfriend, and asked me to be his wife.We’re beyond excited for this next chapter and all the adventures still to come!
