Our Wedding

Call it luck or call it fate, January 2021 was when it all started. From periodic sightings at the dog park and two puppies in the relative age range it all made sense, but for us the extra push was matching on Bumble. Maddie wasn't even supposed to be back in Cincinnati. Her job in DC after college was rescinded because of the pandemic, so she settled back here. Our first date didn't start as planned, pivoting from a busy Madtree to a quaint and cozy Flying Pig Irish Pub. That's where we spent the better part of the night getting to know each other, and realizing that this was going to be a beginning. Opposites attract has never been truer. Twenty hours separates our two 'home towns' of Wichita, Kansas and Washington, DC. We were quickly engrossed in the different lives we both had lived, and the similarities we share. After our first date, a lot of other firsts would come. Our first Taco Night, our first hike together with the dogs, our first kiss, our first Bearcats game, our first +1 to a wedding, our first trip to the hometowns, and many other firsts that we continue to enjoy! Our story has continued as we learned to love each other, with celebrating holidays, traveling for family and friends, and planting our roots in Cincinnati. Our travels have taken us from Weddings in Minnesota and Florida, to Football games in Texas. We've been with family in the mountains, and together alone in the Mediterranean. Where the inevitable question was asked, 'Will you marry me?" 1,074 days later and still counting. We are blessed to have family and friends who are willing to travel to celebrate our next chapter, marriage. So to that thank you for joining us and being part of our day!

How do I know the couple? I met Maddie working at Maxim and it was instant friendship! We grew over our girls nights in, nights out in OTR, and are nights playing trivia at MadTree every Monday after work. I met Matt when she just brought him as a date one trivia night and I instantly they were a great match.

How do I know the couple? I met Maddie at Maxim Healthcare working our first big girl jobs post college. We bonded over weekly outings at MadTree Trivia, double dates walking our dogs, girls nights and getting lost on the highway. Matt joined us several times at trivia night and nights out at the bars and a knew it was meant to be.

How do you know the couple? In 2015 on our official visit to University of Cincinnati we met. A year later our coach made us roommates, and the shenanigans began. I met at Matt at a night out at the Fly Pig!

How do I know the couple? I met Maddie in high school in 2015 I verbally committed to play Division I Lacrosse at University of Cincinnati. We went semi-rival high schools. Later we played together for a better half of 3.5 years. I met Matt while out with Maddie at Keystone and I knew they were a match.

How do you know the couple? Well, Matt was just around after I was born --- he is my big brother. Maddie I met after we made a family trip out to Cincinnati in 2021.

How do I know the couple? Locked eyes with Matt in the middle of University of Cincinnati's library while studying engineering and the rest was history. Later met Maddie at Otto Armleder Park.

How do you know the couple? I met Maddie in Celina when Matt brought her up to show her his 'hometown'. I met Matt when he moved to Celina, OH and we both were in IPS. We bonded over endless hours of Pokemon on the calculator instead of learning.
