FAQ

Are kids allowed to come to the ceremony and/or reception?

Please leave your kiddos at home. While we adore your children, our venue does not have the room for your little ones. Please make it a date night. We cannot wait to celebrate with you!

Where will the ceremony be taking place?

Our ceremony will be held at the same venue as our reception! That is actually one of the main reasons why we chose to get married at The Oakley! Once you arrive, you will not have to leave to go anywhere else the rest of the night :)

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00pm. Please allow ample time to get to your seat before this time. You may arrive to the venue after 3:00pm. The outdoor cocktail hour will begin at 4:30pm and then you will be asked to find your seat inside a little bit before 5:30pm. The official party will close out around 11:00pm.

Do you have any hotel accommodations?

Yes we do, we have blocked a group of rooms at the Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Flint Grand Blanc and Holiday Inn Express and Suites Grand Blanc, an IHG hotel. Please refer to the "Travel" tab for additional information. Please book your room by calling the hotels directly or through the link in order to get the discounted rate. Block codes are both: metcalfwedding. Please book before the deadline to get the special rate. The rooms will go quickly, so we suggest booking early on.

What time is the hotel check-in?

Hotel check in is at 3pm. Please be mindful of time as our ceremony does start at 4pm promptly. Early check in to the hotel is not permitted, so please have your plans ready in advance. Some guests are arriving Friday to avoid the hassle, while others are planning to come wedding ready when they arrive at the hotel to make the shuttle and then check-in after the reception ends. We cannot guarantee that you will be able to check-in prior to the shuttle leaving. There will be overnight parking at the venue if you miss the shuttle. Please pick up your car by noon on Sunday.

Will there be transportation provided from the venue?

Yes, we will have a shuttle transporting guests to and from the venue from the hotels. Please note that there will be specific shuttle times to and from the venue. Please refer to the "Travel" tab for shuttle times and additional information.

Is there parking at the venue?

Of course! There is parking at our venue as soon as you come through the gate the parking lot is to the left. Guests can get dropped off at the door and after the driver has parked the car, a golf cart will escort them back to the venue. They also allow overnight parking. Please pick up your car by noon on Sunday. If you are planning to stay at the hotel, we are offering a complimentary shuttle service to and from the venue. Please refer to the "Travel" tab for shuttle times and additional information.

Can I bring a +1?

Due to limited capacity, we are only able to accommodate those formally invited. If you receive a +1, it will be addressed on your invitation and RSVP.

What color is the bridal party wearing?

The bridesmaids will be wearing dark mauve and dusty rose dresses, while the groomsmen will be wearing blue suits.
