It might surprise to some of you, but Chris and Maddy actually met online! They spent a few weeks chatting while Chris was at Slippery Rock and soon realized that their homes were only 15 minutes apart. For their first date, they decided to meet at Olive Garden. Chris wanted to pay for their meal, but Maddy insisted on using a gift card she had. From that moment on, Chris was head over heels.
From the moment they met, it was clear they both had a strong connection. They started seeing each other every weekend, whether at school or at home, spending quality time with each other’s families.
A year and a half later, Chris planned an amazing surprise: a Disney trip with Adam, Lindsey, and Danny, where he intended to propose to Maddy. The week before their trip, Maddy broke the thumb on her left hand. She grew suspicious when everyone seemed so concerned asking her which finger on her left hand was injured. When the vacation finally began, they landed at their destination, and Chris took Maddy to a stunning spot where he got down on one knee and asked if she would marry him. Naturally, she said yes!
