Our Wedding

We met through social media (AKA Tinder) in September 2021. We first met at Motorheads in Springfield after I mentioned I was out listening to a local band and Mark ditched his friends at the Mexican restaurant to come join. That night, we danced and sang until our feet hurt &amp; our voices were gone. Months later, it came out that when Mark rejoined his friends that night and was asked “how’d it go?” His response was “dang, she’s mouthy!” It turns out that he must have enjoyed his night out with my friends and I as the next day, he asked me to go out to dinner the following week. Naturally, I was not going to have him pick me up (from my parent’s house, nonetheless) and take me to dinner at the only restaurant in Palmyra– The Old #7. I did not want to be the talk of the town for having an out-of-town guest without knowing his intentions… I mean we had met on Tinder, it seemed too good to be true!! We met at the gas station in Girard and went out to dinner at the Wood Duck in Carlinville. In the small chance that he was a criminal, I did fill my friends in and they stayed close by in case I needed a way out. Lucky for me (&amp; him of course), the date went well and we have been pretty much inseparable ever since.&nbsp; A few job changes, degrees, moves, and other huge life changes have proved that we work well together under pressure. I would say we are on the same page about most things in life and where we have differences– our differences balance each other out. Mark shows an immense amount of patience, but struggles to be on time to any event. On the other hand, I have the patience of a toddler, yet show up to events 45 minutes prior to the scheduled time.&nbsp;Together, we balance each other out creating the perfect formula for love! In all seriousness, we have cherished every moment together to establish our beginning. We are so excited to begin our lives as husband and wife and we cannot wait to celebrate with each of you!
