Our Wedding

Hunter and Madison met in February of 2018. Madison was out celebrating her birthday on Glenwood Avenue with some girl friends, including Madison's co-worker Becca, who was also friends with Hunter. After a few drinks, Becca took Madison to a different bar to meet up with some of her guy friends that were out for the night. Enter meeting Hunter at Cornerstone Tavern...the memories are hazy, but it definitely included Madison knocking over Hunter's beer and splashing it in her eye. Becca was getting ready to leave for a trip to the Thailand so Madison wasn't sure if she would ever see Hunter again. But then he asked for her number before they parted ways for the night. A text from Hunter followed the next day, asking how Madison's eye was doing, and the rest was history. They continued to bond over their love for UNC basketball during March Madness. Shortly after meeting, Hunter moved to Boston for work and Madison moved to Charlotte for a life change. They made it work long distance for about a year and a half with monthly visits before both making their way back to Raleigh in 2019. Hunter popped the question during a sunset walk on the beach at Emerald Isle in August 2021. And, of course, they celebrated with dessert at Dairy Queen after.

There are several other hotel and AirBnB options available in the Raleigh and Cary area if you wish to be closer to Downtown Raleigh. Ubers and Lyfts should be readily available the weekend of the wedding for transportation to and from the wedding.
