It all began on January 24th 2024 when Madi messaged Simon on Instagram, which just so happened to be his birthday. She saw something in him and decided to give it a shot, with the phrase "this is sinful" to Simon's story where he doing "Barbenheimer" (watching The Barbie Movie and then Oppenheimer) on a plane.

After months of texting, calling and laughing, they decided to make it official on March 13, 2024. Despite the challenges of being long distance, their relationship thrived on their deep connection. For the first three months, their bond was built solely on their love for each other's personalities and souls. It wasn't until June 2024 where they finally met in person. Simon was traveling to the UK to see family and attend two weddings. He bought Madi a plane ticket and told her to meet him there. That first moment in each other's presence solidified their love for one another, and fittingly their first real date together was at Tim's (Simon's groosman) wedding.

It took less than 6 months for them to realize that they were meant to be together. When you know, you know. Simon got down on one knee at Panama City Beach on Memorial Day weekend after he pretended to take photos from his phone that was nestled in the sand. Little did Madi know, he had hit record to capture her live (and truly shocked) reaction. Madi and Simon credit God for bringing them together and are grateful for the invisible string that tied them together.
