Our Story

Madison and I have known of each other for much of our lives thanks to our mutual family friends in Emporia; however, it wasn't until February of 2021 that our story truly began. It was the first week of February that we started messaging on social media and shortly after, we met at a Super Bowl party. Would you believe it if I told you he was late? Well, he was, but we hit it off instantly once he finally arrived. From that moment on, we have been inseparable.

Our relationship consisted of many weekends spent together as I commuted home from James Madison University to see him. The distance between us definitely brought its challenges, but ultimately, brought us closer together.

Our relationship has always been filled with laughter as he is the "goofball" of the relationship and always has to make sure to get a laugh out of me. Over the next couple of years, we shared countless adventures and memories together--from spontaneous trips to quiet weekends at home.

In 2022, I graduated from JMU, and he was by my side cheering me on. In 2023, we took a big step in buying our first home together. It wasn't just a house, it was where we would build our future. Then came Christmas night of 2024, when at the strike of midnight, he asked to spend the rest of our lives together. Everyone who knows him knows that the timing fits him perfectly, and I couldn't say "yes" fast enough.

Today, our little family includes not just Madison and I, but also our "best boys," Blu and Hoyt. We've been through so much together, and now can't wait to continue creating memories and going through life side by side.
