Our Wedding

On Madi’s 22nd birthday she received a message from Hunter wishing her a happy birthday. Madi thought this was nice but kind of strange since the two of them didn’t know each other. Madi said thank you and figured that would be the end of their conversation. Little did she know - that conversation was never going to end. Hunter and Madi never went a day without talking since he sent that birthday text on October 17th 2022. Hunter and Madi had never met but knew of each other from their families. It is pretty funny how intertwined their lives were! In high school, Madi worked at Drug Mart in the cosmetics/movie department. Rebecca (Hunter’s mom) would stop in after work to pick up a movie frequently. Rebecca and Madi could always strike up a good conversation and looked forward to seeing each other. Rebecca also worked at the Chapel with Madi’s grandma Myra. Such a small world! Jay (Hunter’s dad) and Hunter spent lots of time hunting and fishing with Madi’s cousins, uncles, and grandpa. On one of the many Turkey hunting trips, Hunter heard Madi’s Uncle Tom talking about her. Hunter said from that moment on he knew he had to meet this girl. The first “date” Hunter and Madi shared together was actually volunteering at the handicap deer hunt put on by the NWTF at Maumee Bay State Park. The couples first dinner date was at Chilis. Hunter stayed home from work that day because he was sick. Madi had a break from class so she drove home from Kent State and picked him up at his parent’s house. When Madi pulled in the driveway Hunter went straight to the car and off they went. Hunter’s parents did not know where he was going or who he was with. After dinner, Madi pulled in the driveway to drop Hunter off and Hunter said “my mom would be pretty disappointed if she knew you were here and didn’t say hi”. Madi nervously got out of the car and walked in the house. When Becky and Jay saw Madi they about fell off the couch in shock. The four of them spent the rest of the evening together laughing at the irony. The first time Hunter met Madi’s family was at her big family Christmas party. Madi was worried about Hunter feeling overwhelmed by all the people but when he walked in she didn’t even have to introduce him! Everyone knew him by name and he sat down with the guys and talked about hunting and fishing like they’ve done hundreds of times. Needless to say both Madi and Hunter fit into each other’s families perfectly! Madi graduated nursing school from Kent State and moved back home in May of 2023. Hunter and Madi lived with Hunter’s parents for a few months while they were saving for a house. In January of 2024, Madi and Hunter purchased their first home together! The couple spent the spring and summer making their house feel like a home. On September 1st, the couple was getting ready to go to Madi’s big family Labor Day party when Hunter got down on one knee and popped the question! When they arrived to the party, it was hard to tell who was more excited - Madi or her family! Hunter’s parents were able to join the party to help them celebrate as well. Many happy tears and “finally!!”s happened that day. Hunter probably felt so much relief because he would finally stopped being asked “so when are you gonna do it?!”. All jokes aside, Madi and Hunter are both so blessed to have found each other. Their love truly is like no other. Nobody is perfect, but they are perfect for each other. They are over the moon about getting married and can’t wait to start their lives together as one. They are looking forward to celebrating their big day with you!

Limited rooms are available for both Friday and Saturday night! You must call the hotel to book & mention “The Kinchy Wedding” and you will receive your room at a discounted rate of $99.99 per night +tax. 

Red Roof Inn

If you have a camper and are interested in camping after the reception, you’re in luck! There are limited sites available right behind the barn where the reception is being held. Sites are $30/night and will need to be booked in advance. That price does include electric. However, there is no water/sewer hook up. If you are interested please contact Madi 419-603-2968 and she will speak with the hunt club to get you a spot!
