Madison and Caitlin’s story is one of those that feels meant to be. Although they officially met via an online platform, they later discovered their lives had been quietly overlapping all along. While Caitlin was working as an ICU nurse at KU Medical Center, Madison—then in nursing school, was assigned to work on that very same unit a handful of times. Their paths had crossed before… it just took a little time for the right moment to bring them together.

By the time they met, Madison was working as an ICU nurse in Missouri and Caitlin in Kansas. What started as a day of strawberry picking turned into a cozy night of chocolate fondue, using the strawberries they had just picked along with a few extra sweet treats. It was thoughtful, romantic, a little playful, and the start of something special.

In their first year together, they embraced adventure in the best way; celebrating Caitlin’s birthday with a 10-day trip to Finland. It became one of their favorite memories and set the tone for a relationship filled with travel, laughter, and intention. No matter how busy life gets, they’ve always made time for each other, keeping things lighthearted along the way.

Their first home together was a cozy little house in Kansas City, Kansas, a space they made entirely their own. It was where everyday moments turned into memories and where their life together truly began. Since then, they’ve grown into a bigger place, continuing to dream about the home they’ll one day share.

And of course, their family wouldn’t be complete without a couple little personalities. Mowgli, Madison’s dog, has made his favorite person very clear, despite Caitlin’s occasional denial to spare Madison's feelings. Along with their two cats, their home is full of love, a little chaos, and a lot of laughter.
