Sean and Madison first crossed paths at a young adults volleyball ministry, where a simple encounter sparked the beginning of something beautiful. When Sean asked Madison for her number, he didn’t mention that he had already gotten it a year prior, when she was hosting a volleyball tournament for her college. Not wasting any time, Sean reached out to invite Madison to dinner. However, Madison thought a dinner might be a bit too formal for a first date and suggested brunch instead. Sean happily agreed and proposed meeting at the Chick-fil-A on 96. When they arrived, Sean opened the door for Madison, showing her from the start the gentleman he was. They sat at a high-top table next to the window, and right away, they were drawn to one another. Madison felt Sean’s kindness, and she knew he was someone who would lead her closer to the Lord and be a wonderful son-in-law to her family. Sean was captivated by Madison’s beauty, humor, and intelligence, impressed by how she understood his jokes and her focused drive toward her goals. By the end of that first date, Sean knew without a doubt that Madison was the woman he was going to marry. After a year of growing together—talking about dreams and challenges, spending time with family, traveling, and experiencing all the highs and lows of life—Sean knew it was time to take the next step. He approached Madison’s father and asked for her hand in marriage, and her father was overjoyed to welcome Sean as his future son-in-law. From there, Sean began planning the perfect proposal, one that would hold deep meaning for both of them. He decided to propose at the very place they had their first date—the place where he realized that Madison was the one he wanted to spend his life with. On May 24th, 2024, Sean, Madison, and their families gathered at the Chick-fil-A on 96 to “celebrate their one year together.” Sitting at that familiar table, Sean got down on one knee and asked Madison to marry him. Sean and Madison are overjoyed to begin this next chapter of their lives. They bring out the best in each other, encouraging one another to give their all and trust in the Lord in everything. They can’t imagine a future without each other, and the joy, peace, and grace they’ve experienced in their love is immeasurable. They are excited to celebrate their special day with all of you and look forward to the many more memories to come in the years ahead!
