Our story began in the most unexpected way—thanks to Tims friendship with my sister’s husband. My sister had the idea of setting us up, and before we knew it, Tim and I were texting and planning our first date. It was a little nerve-wracking, especially since we had never met in person, but the moment we saw each other, being together just felt so right. Throughout the date we were so nervous we could barely make eye contact, but as the evening went on we talked nonstop. Just two weeks later, Tim asked me to be his girlfriend, and though we started our relationship long distance, we made it work, counting the days until we would be together again.

Originally Tim planned to come and visit me in person once or twice a month depending on what work allowed. But soon he was flying to DFW early every Sunday morning to visit until he moved home. After five months, Tim finally moved back to McKinney, Texas, and we were inseparable. We spent endless hours talking, taking spontaneous road trips, hiking beautiful trails, and just enjoying each other’s company. Life with him felt so right.

November 2024, Tim planned a perfect surprise proposal right before our family photos. I was completely oblivious—until we reached the proposal spot surrounded by flowers and candles, and I confidently declared, “Aw, look, it’s a memorial.” Tim held back laughter as he walked me to the spot, and as soon as he got on one knee, it all clicked. I was so overwhelmed with joy, excitement, and gratitude for the incredible blessing Tim has been in my life. We are so excited for our wedding and can’t wait to celebrate with the people we love!
