Aaron and I met the traditional way... at a bar!
October 9th, 2020 - The night that changed everything! Neither of us were looking for a relationship. We were both enjoying single life, and enjoying time with friends. But, you know what they say, love finds you when you arent looking for it. For us, that statement couldnt be more true. We never expected to meet that night and become inseparable.
Aaron approached me and asked if I wanted to take a shot. How could I turn that down? After taking a shot, (Aarons favorite, an Irish Car Bomb), we lost track of time and closing time came too soon.
About two weeks into us spending time together Aaron said to me, dont expect us to be a couple anytime soon, Ive been single for 10 years and dont get attached easily. Fast forward to New Years Day 2021, Aaron officially asked me to be his girlfriend. Shortly after, I moved in with him and his three roommates. Come December of 2021, we decided to get a townhome of our own together. We made it our home and are still living there now.
During the four years we have been together I learned how to golf (kind of), Aaron went on his first flight, we traveled out of the country, and shared many laughs.
Come September of 2022 we took a trip with my family to the Pacific North West. At this time, I knew Aaron had already bought a ring and had my suspicions that he might propose during our time there. I voiced those suspicions to him and he had me convinced I was wrong and just wishful thinking. However, on September 16th, 2022 we hiked the McKenzie River down to the Blue Pool. The two of us were the only ones who wanted to hike down to the pool, so the two of us went off on our own down to the pool. It took a little longer than expected because we got lost and went about half of a mile out of the way. We ended up turning around and found our way down to the pool. We could see my family above waving and smiling, telling us to get together for a picture. At this time Aaron turned to me, got down on one knee, and asked me to marry him. Of course, I said yes and we celebrated by jumping into the 36 degree Blue Pool.
We are so excited to spend the rest of our lives together, and even more excited for all of you to witness the end our engagement, and the beginning of our marriage!!
