Wedding Party

Kevin Dittlinger
Kevin Dittlinger - Best Man
Kevin and I met during our freshman year at Maryville and were quickly friends. Anyone who knows us would say he is closer to being my "other half" than Madison is.. Our common love for The Office, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and all things sports makes it easy to hang out together. The only thing you will see us argue about is which one us is soon to be a more official doctor (clearly me given Kevin is going to be an optometrist and they only know about eyes, whereas I know the entire body). He and Brianna (his wife and one of Madison's bridesmaids) are without a doubt our go to couple for any date night activities in and around St. Louis. I think all four of us agree that regardless of what we do/where we go in life, we will always find time to get together. If anyone has trouble spotting Kevin at the wedding reception, he will be the one with his jacket tied around his waist telling jokes only a 40 year old Dad would make.
AJ Barnes
AJ Barnes - Maid of Honor
Friends since 2nd grade (as evidenced by a picture of me picking my nose at her 8th birthday party), AJ is a friend that's always been there through the years. Through college in separate cities, every time we get together, it's as if we've never been apart. My family moved into a house across the street from her's in ninth grade, and when you read those Buzzfeed articles about friends who barge into each other's houses and know that their friend's parents probably like them more than their own parents, that's me and AJ.
Lucas Booher
Lucas Booher - Groomsman
Lucas is my youngest brother. He and I grew up doing all the typical brother things: video games, sports, and fighting. As we have gotten older we have stopped fighting over stupid things, and have been able to build a real relationship. I'm proud to say that we have been able to talk about any issues, whether that is college, girls, or something as little as where to eat for dinner. If anyone has difficulty spotting Lucas at the wedding reception, I can promise you he will be very easy to spot. He will be the one leaving the food line with a pile of food larger than his head.
Mai Baldwin
Mai Baldwin - Bridesmaid
Mai and I are Zeta Tau Alpha sorority sisters. She's one of the most outgoing people that I know, and one of the most genuinely happy, positive, and inspiring. She's so unapologetically herself . She's also the one that will drive to wal-mart in the middle of the night with me to buy giant bags of pizza rolls. And I still love her even though she only eats the cheese ones. Mai and I were roommates. We got each other through countless late nights of studying, and also a flea infestation (that we did not cause). So if we're still friends through all of that, I'd say it's a pretty true friendship.
Cody Strawman
Cody Strawman - Groomsman
Oh, Cody. Cody is one of my cousins and almost every one of the hilarious and memorable moments in our family stems around Cody. Easily the most memorable moment was when we left Cody stranded on the beach of the Mississippi river as he screamed "WAIT"! For those who knew Cody growing up, it is hard to forget the silly laugh and shit eating grin he had after doing something he shouldn't have. As he grew up his laugh got deeper, but his grin only got slightly less ornery. We as a family are incredibly proud of the progress he has made as he continues to shine in leadership roles in the Army. If anyone has difficulty finding him at the reception, he will be the one surrounded by the ladies with the same shit eating grin on his face.
Makayla Jordan Diemler
Makayla Jordan Diemler - Bridesmaid
Makayla and I are also Zeta Tau Alpha sorority sisters. Once, we drove 1,200 miles over a long weekend to visit Mai in Minneapolis, and then I photoshopped her picture a gazillion times onto a donut to look like sprinkles. I think that this is how Makayla should always be represented: smiling on a donut. Makayla is another one of those completely genuine people that I'm blessed to have in my life. More passionate than anyone I've ever met, kind, driven, and honest. Her passion about life makes me want to be a better person. Also, Makayla is the one I can always rely on to tell me, "no, you actually do look ugly, don't leave the house like that." And don't we all need one of those people in our lives?
Brianna Dittlinger
Brianna Dittlinger - Bridesmaid
Brianna and I met freshman year of college because Alex and Kevin (now her husband and Alex's best man) were friends. Since we were both in long distance relationships, it took us a while to be in the same city at the same time, but I remember Alex telling me how much I would like her. Now, I'd call Kevin and Brianna our designated couple friends. We all live in St. Louis and we're together all the time. Incredibly dedicated, persistent, and caring, Brianna is the friend that isn't afraid to stand up for what she deserves, and I like to think that she rubs off on me.
Nick Schwent
Nick Schwent - Groomsman
Nicholas J. Schwent, class clown of the groomsmen. We met at a scholarship banquet before starting school at Maryville. He and I are finishing up our Doctorate of Physical Therapy together. Throughout school we have been famous for giving the most creative presentations in class, especially our project on mail order brides from Eastern Europe. Whenever anyone in class needs a creative/stupid/funny idea, they quickly turn to Nick and I. Our friendship is one that never has been, nor never will be boring. If anyone has difficulty finding Nick and the reception, just look down.
Zach Houston
Zach Houston - Groomsman
Zach and I have been friends since 8th grade Spanish class, when he diabolically forced Grace Holthaus to switch seats with him. Our love for sports, most specifically baseball and football, have kept us close friends since then. Despite Zach's major flaw, his unwavering support of the Chicago Cubs, he and I have been able to put aside those differences to become great friends. He is always there to talk about life, sports, movies, or anything else that may come to mind. I am confident no matter where we go in the future, he and I will remain close friends. If anyone has difficulty finding Zach at the reception, he will most likely have found a fellow Cubs fan and is talking about how great Theo Epstein (the Cubs GM) is.
Olivia Snell
Olivia Snell - Bridesmaid
Olivia and I were both in the architecture program at Drury. And nothing brings people together like sleep deprivation. You know you're real friends when you start to sort of enjoy never sleeping because you're awake in the architecture building all the time with people you love. Alex refers to Olivia as "the nice one," and it's completely accurate. She's genuinely nice, service-minded, and interested in improving the lives of people around her. From architecture internships together, to European travel together, I'm lucky to have her in my life.
Blake Solberg
Blake Solberg - Bridesman
Blake's friendship is another lucky one that was enhanced by the family that is architecture school. It's guaranteed that when Blake is around, I'm having fun. Whether he's running around yelling that our friendship is over because we're stressed and tired, or we're "running from dinosaurs" in Turkey, or he's holding my hand walking me down the steps like I'm royalty (because I am), Blake's love of life is infectious. I wouldn't have survived college without his perfect balance of dedication and live your life attitude. Also Taco Bell. I'm glad that his car got us to and from Taco Bell without blowing up.
Cain Miles
Cain Miles - Groomsman
Cain is Madison's younger brother. He is without a doubt one of the quietest people I have ever meet. Cain may seem distant at first, but once you get to know him (a process that takes about 4 years...or 4 beers), he is easy to talk to. Cain is responsible for easily one of the top 10 funniest moments of my life: the "I'll never forget the time we went through the McDonald's drive-through backwards" story. If anyone has trouble finding Cain at the reception, he is probably at the bar.
Julia Hartman
Julia Hartman - Bridesmaid
Julia and I studied in the Drury architecture program together too, and by studied together, I mean she showed me up in every way. Julia works harder than anyone I know and I'm lucky to call her my friend. She keeps me on top of things and pushes me to do better. Even though she lives in Kansas City, I'm proud to report that Julia holds the record for my second longest snapchat streak. I'm thankful for late night study sessions with her and for caring about the same issues and having super similar theses.
Josh Booher
Josh Booher - Officiant
Josh is my oldest brother. Well before I had even contemplated proposing to Madison, I decided I wanted Josh to officiate our wedding. The only stipulation Josh had is that I invite his best friend (and soon to be best woman at his wedding!) Lucia. He and I used to argue more than anything else when we were younger, but as we have gotten older (and I have matured) he and I have become much closer. Josh is a perfect person to officiate our wedding, since he has had a front row seat watching Madison and I grow together the past 9+ years. Madison and I are beyond excited to see what he has in store for the ceremony. If anyone had difficulty finding Josh at the reception, he will most likely be passive aggressively telling his fiancee, Austin, to not eat so much food in public.
Ava Motley
Ava Motley - Flower Girl
Sassy but sweet and loves her food! Ava loves Minnie Mouse and her puppy Leo. She enjoys spending time with family, and she loves dance class and swimming.Ava is the daughter of Mallorie Cobern. Mallorie and Madison grew up together, friends, and first cousins.
Chandler John
Chandler John - Flower Girl
Chandler is 8 and in the 2nd grade. She plays basketball, softball, and is really into gymnastics. She loves to swim, hunt with her dad, and shop with her mom.Chandler is the daughter of Abby and Brigham John. They are long time family friends.
Weslee John
Weslee John - Flower Girl
Weslee is 5 and in kindergarten. She plays basketball, softball, and loves gymnastics. She loves to swim, hunt with her dad, and shop with her mom.Weslee is also the daughter of Abby and Brigham John. They are long time family friends.
