Our Wedding

Maddie and Carlos are embarrassed to say it, but they are high school sweethearts. They first met in South Carolina in August 2015 when Carlos was lovestruck by Maddie. They began talking every day after school, with Carlos even staying late to audition for the school musical just to spend more time with Maddie. Carlos had never participated in theatre but he landed the lead role! We don’t need to talk about the role Maddie received… she has other strengths. They quickly became best friends and by October 2015, they began dating (there is some confusion by both parties on when they OFFICIALLY started dating). Since then, their relationship has blossomed and they have grown up together! Their relationship continued through high school graduation, two colleges, Carlos’ deployment, college graduation (go Cocks!) and a move across the Pacific to Hawaii!&nbsp; Through all those years together, Maddie and Carlos have driven across most of the United States, traveled the world together (around 10 countries), adopted two cats, gone to the movies probably 200 times, and yes, did another musical. The two are finally ready to file their taxes together and say they’re married in the eyes of the government!

Airport

Fly into&nbsp;Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU)&nbsp;to get to San Juan, Puerto Rico. The airport is right near the area of the ceremony location, at about a 15-20 minute car ride away.

Ground Transportation 

If you'd like to explore outside of Old San Juan, renting a car or booking a tour that includes transportation is recommended. Within Old San Juan, Uber is a great way to get around (including going to the nearby beach)!
