How we met
Andrew and Madison met on Hinge, the dating app designed to be deleted, after Madison liked a picture of Andrew and his sister at the 2019 Iron Bowl. Andrew’s first message to Madison included “War Eagle,” and as an Auburn woman, she responded with a “War Eagle” back without a second thought.
After a couple of weeks of chatting, Andrew asked Madison on a date to the Battery. They met at Punch Bowl Social where the Madison remembers Andrew’s adorable smile and the best lemon water she had ever had. They talked for three hours at Superica, and went on dates every weekend after that.
Andrew took Madison to the aquarium for their fifth date, which resulted in their first picture together and Andrew asking her to be his girlfriend. They knew they were in love in less than two months dating each other; they became best friends, and the months following were the happiest times they’d had. They were certain God had created them for each other.
How he asked
To celebrate eight months dating, Andrew told Madison they were going somewhere fancy for dinner. All Madison was allowed to know was that the restaurant was in Downtown Decatur, where she lives. He came to her apartment, and he walked her into Downtown Decatur where there was an ornament arch and asked her if she wanted to take a picture. After someone took a photo of them in front of the ornament, Andrew said to Madison, “You look beautiful, but something is missing," and knelt down on one knee. After his proposal, they did indeed have their fancy dinner.
