This is a story of how a girl from Sleepy Hollow, NY ended up getting married to boy from Porterville, CA

Madison and Kevin met in November 2023 on a dating app called Hinge. Madison messaged Kevin first because of course, she noticed that he had a golden retriever in one of his photos and that was a very green flag for her. She knew she was looking for someone who loved dogs. She was willing to accept, though that they probably wouldn't love them as much as she did. I think her message said something like: "cute golden and I guess you're not bad yourself" corny, I know, but hey it was a start.

As they started talking about hobbies and interests, Madison admired Kevin's passion for creating. They set up a first date and titled it "Krafts with Kevin and Kash", Kevin wanted to show Madison how to make a wooden Christmas tree in his woodshop. They got to know each other, laughed, were covered in sawdust, and both knew they had to see each other again.

About a week later, the real test happened...Kevin's Golden Retriever, Kash met Madison's Lab Mix, Ruby. Now, I’ll have you know, if you don't already, Ruby is very particular about the dogs she likes, in fact, she likes to start fights with most dogs. However, from the moment the dogs met, it was as if they known each other for years, they immediately hit it off and became best friends. Madison had never seen Ruby as happy and playful as she was in that moment. It made Madison and Kevin happy to see that their dogs were compatible mates, it was another green flag.

After that day, a deep feeling of peace started growing within Madison’s heart, something she had never felt before.

The idea explains that an unseen thread connects people who are destined to meet. The universe will keep two people apart until the timing is right. When you meet, there will be so many "coincidences" in the timing, if one thing had fallen out of line, you would have never crossed paths. But the universe aligns when the timing is finally right, their paths cross, it's not by chance, but by quiet design. Then, you will realize that everything you went through before you met is just preparing your heart for them.

Madison and Kevin started uncovering various "coincidences" in timing where they could have met, should have met, but never did. The universe was waiting.

This goes back to 2015, the year Kevin graduated from Boise State University. Madison's best friend, Olivia was moving into a house with three other roommates that year, she was excited because it was closer to the University than where she was before. That house was located on Manitou Ave in Boise. Madison will never forget that house because she was in it almost everyday of the week and certainly every weekend whether it was staying in and watching movies or pregaming for Boise State Games, she was there and it was her second home. Well, guess who lived in that same house right before Olivia moved in there? Kevin did. And guess which room he had in that 4 bedroom house? The same one Olivia had.

This story doesn't tell you how two people from opposite ends of the US ended up both going to Boise State at the same time, or that we worked within walking distance from each other, and drove on the same route to/from work every morning and every night for a year, or that they were members of the same gym, or that Kevin's address on his home is Madison's birthday date and year.

Now if that doesn't describe the invisible string theory perfectly, I don't know what does.

Now the time is present day, Madison and Kevin are to be married, it feels like the most magical time of all. This is the beginning of a marriage between two people who were destined to meet. This is someone Madison prayed for in her weakest moments and is thankful for everyday that remains.
