Maddy and Zane met their freshman year of college in an Indigenous Literature class. They sat next to each other the entire semester! They first hung out by attending an extra credit event and then going to a sushi restaurant, where Zane ate an entire piece of wasabi thinking it was avocado. Sadly, once the semester was over, the two of them did not talk again for four years. Until one day, Zane posted a selfie on Instagram and Maddy was having a drink with her friend at the bar, and got the courage to send Zane a direct message. After a week of texting, the two had their first date at Top Golf, and the rest is history. After 6 months of dating, the two slowly started to live together, where they would eventually move back in with Maddy's parents to save up and buy a house. Fast forward to 2025, and the two are engaged, living in their home in Newark, with their dog, Stanley. The two of them have started building a beautiful life together and cannot wait to celebrate their marriage with their family and friends.
