Our Wedding

Let’s go back to New Years Eve 2016 as a 15 year old little girl. I tagged along with my big brother to hangout with his friends and shoot fireworks, upset that I didn’t have any plans of my own. We met his friends at the firework stand where I saw Justin for the very first time. He was tagging along with another couple which made us the only 2 people there solo. I (sorta) joked with Colby that I was going to kiss “that Justin boy” when the ball dropped. Throughout the night, we never spoke, but I was really hyping myself up to make this move since everyone else had a New Years kiss, why not? But Justin ended up going home before the New Year. (He says he was going fishing or something the next morning, but I think I just made him nervous after the stories he’s told me over the years. ;) ) Little did I know, Justin knew exactly who I was long before the firework stand. He had heard my name around school and even seen me play several volleyball games in the Student Section. For some reason, he says I was way out of his league. (But look at us now.) Back to Justin leaving early on NYE 2016, this is where the first move was made. It was me... I SLID INTO HIS DMs! I think my first words were quite literally “Cleanest truck in D County”. So now you see where it all started hahaha. Most people probably say “And the rest was history” right about now. However, being 15 and 16 years old, our path has been a hilly one. We didn’t know what we wanted in life at that age, but we struggled and overcame together. I dont think we’ve ever spent more than 2 weeks apart since we started hanging out in January 2016. This man immediately had a hold on me. I saw so much potential in him. He was automatically my best friend with ALL of the same interests as me. That was one thing that made me realize I had found my person; all the fun times we had together doing the things we both genuinely loved. Over the last 7+ years, we have grown into completely different humans than the two kids who met at a firework stand. We have learned how to really love, how to make sacrifices for each other, and most importantly, how to communicate our thoughts and feelings. I know some people think that high schoolers and even college students should experience different things, try new relationships, and “enjoy” life. However, I have experienced more places, friendships, and amazing memories with Justin than I could have planned for myself. And for that, I thank God that he gave us so many more years together than most people get. I’m thankful that we got to learn life together, grow up together, and love hard together. As we plan for marriage, I pray that God continues to work through us and prepares us to come together as one. I’m so excited to make memories for the rest of our lives together as our hair turns grey!

The Guys

Billy is Justin's brother/ absolute best friend. Justin's love for Billy is something I pray my future children have one day. They are the true definition of "Just one call away" for each other. I've never seen two people just truly want the best for each other the way these two do. Billy has been the best (soon to be Brother In Law) to me over the last 7+ years, and I'm so thankful for the kindness he has always showed me. We couldn't have our Big Day without him right by our side!

Here's what it boils down to...
Landon and Justin have been friends since high school. They are two peas in a pod and a complete mess when they’re together. They make each other laugh hard and everyone around them laugh even harder. It’s nothing but jokes and memories when they’re together. These two have grown up so much over the years, and I can only imagine them still cracking jokes together at 80 years old.

Soon to be brothers! Colby has been there with us from day one and is the reason Justin & I ever met. For that I’m so grateful. He’s always let me tag along with him just about anywhere he goes. Thankfully, Justin & I never lost our hearing after the years of riding in Colby’s backseat. The guys love to drink a cold beer, shoot guns, and go riding together (despite none of us having a toy at the moment).

When Caleb and Justin are together, you can find them sharing trail cam pictures, tracking a deer, or just laughing at the most off-the-wall stuff Justin says. Carl puts up with Justin grabbing his ear lobes (sometimes) and driving everyone around majority of the time. I'm not sure if it's because he's a tall red head, but he definitely would be the big brother of the group. He's calm, kind, and puts others first.

Jerron and Justin met a few years ago in Aviation school. They quickly became friends through their passion for building trucks and going to all kinds of truck shows. They're both quick to lend a hand when it comes to putting on a lift or doing something to their trucks. Jerron's always down to have fun and keeps everyone around him laughing when he dances. You're sure to see this guy on the dance floor April 13th! (P.s. Sorry about your arm... And your leg.)

We've known Devon for years before becoming such great friends. Of course, they originally met through their love of trucks. Devon is one of the strongest guys you'll meet and has a huge heart. He goes with the flow, always has a smile on his face, and is friends with anyone he meets. He's got the best pupper, and we can't wait till Fancy comes back home!

Bella & I met through Justin & Landon, and I couldn't be more thankful she came into my life. While she might be a little younger than me, her maturity and outlook on life fall right in line. She has determination and gives 100% to everything she does. Bella has always been the one to keep my head on straight, be completely honest with me, and put me back in place when I need it. 
(She's also great at keeping secrets as she helped Justin plan the entire engagement beach trip for many many  months  without slipping up once!)

Isabella Fulwood

Alyssa was sent straight from God to our family. She's my Sister In Law and could not be a better match for Colby. I'm not sure if Colby or myself knew she was the one first. She loves so hard. She listens so well. She is never quick to judge. And she gives the absolute best advice. Watching her become a Godly wife and the most loving mother has been such a rewarding time in my life! I have so much to learn from her as she sets such a great example of a Christian woman.  I'm so thankful for our relationship (& for her giving me a little bestie!)

Alyssa Phillips

Oh my Lola. The bridesmaid who has been through the most with me. We've seen each other at our worst, brought each other out of it, had our own indifferences, but we've always been side by side. Lola is the party animal of the group. She definitely knows how to have a good time! There's never a dull moment when we're together, and I think we actually scare people when we're together sometimes. Lol. She's my go to for all things, my good time person, and my forever sidekick.

Destiny is the mom of the group. She always takes care of everyone wether it's with headache medicine, bandaids, a brush, etc. You name it, she's got it in her purse. She's also the most responsible if you couldn't tell. She is the friend you can go to for advice in difficult situations and the one to pick you up when you need it. She's a "no one left behind" type of person, and I'm so thankful Jerron & Justin brought Des (and my sweet Bax) into my life!

Lydia is the friend I can always count on to have my back. If I ever needed a back up, she would be my first call. She's got a huge heart, but is not afraid to stick up for herself and others around her when needed. She's always down for a good time at the lake, a truck show, or anywhere we go, and I'm so lucky to have her on my side for life.

The Little Ones

The one that made us Aunt Mae Mae & Uncle Juju! This little man has the biggest heart. He loves all things fishing, building cool forts with Juju, can name every dinosaur, is especially good at card games, and enjoys a good book reading with Mae Mae. He has become the best big brother to Stetson, and I cannot wait to continue watching him grow and learn new things!

Our sweet Ava James. The first baby girl, Colby's twin, and my bestie. She's our favorite FaceTime call each day to see her big smile and hear all about how she's growing! She will be 14 months on wedding day, and I can't imagine how much she'll grow and learn before then. I can't wait to teach her all things volleyball (she's SO tall), outdoors, and life as she gets older.
