In 2019, Madison randomly mentioned to her cousin Trey: "Hey, let me know if you have any single friends who might be a good match for me." She had no idea what impact this comment would have.

Trey immediately thought of his good friend Sean. Over the next few months, he couldn’t help but bring Sean up in conversation, but Madison was skeptical. Her response always was: “That would never work, I don’t even know him!”

However, Trey was persistent. In July of 2019, he decided to take matters into his own hands. He mischievously added Sean to Madison's friends on Snapchat, sparking the beginning of something unexpected.

What followed was a series of late-night FaceTime calls that stretched into hours, filled with laughter and endless conversation. After weeks of connecting virtually, they finally arranged an in person date. Their first date took place at a Mexican restaurant in Birmingham, where they bonded over tacos and queso. Soon, they found themselves making countless trips down Highway 280, traveling between Birmingham and Auburn to visit each other at college.
