Austin and Madi first met at SDSU where they bonded over their love of sandwiches and hatred of Anatomy lab. A few years later, they went to a music festival in Las Vegas and bonded over their love of Tyler the Creator. Back in San Diego, they went on their first date at Half Door Brewing and quickly became inseparable. On September 7th, 2019 Austin had plans to ask Madi to be his girlfriend, but she had different plans and came home with a puppy (Periwinkle). He then had to ask two girls to make it official. After two and a half years of dating, Austin and Madi moved in together in Clairemont, San Diego and started to build their home together. They adopted their dog Pancake and quickly became a family of four.

Over the years they have crossed countless places off their bucket list. With numerous snowboarding trips to Big bear and Mammoth, they decided to start crossing off a different destinations every year. They’ve gone to Seattle, Big Sky MT, Jackson Hole WY, Niseko Japan and Banff, CA. Even though Austin won’t admit it, Madi is the better snowboarder, although if you asked him that would be up for debate (ask their friends and you will get the true answer). In addition to snowboarding trips they have taken countless other trips together, all over Mexico and from Hawaii to Miami. When they aren’t snowboarding you can find them cooking, trying new restaurants or going to concerts.

On September 7th, 2023 Austin popped the big question on the beach in Cabo San Lucas and the rest is history. To top it off, he had all of their friends and family fly in to San Diego to surprise Madi at their home when they landed.

If you ask Madi what she loves most about Austin, it is his goofiness, genuine personality and dedication to go above and beyond for the people he loves. If you ask Austin what he loves about Madi, it is her kindness that extends to anyone she meets, her candor and always bubbly and smiley personality.

Over the past few years, Austin’s friends and family have become Madi’s friends and family and Madi’s friends and family have become Austin’s friends and family. We cannot wait to celebrate with everyone and have you be here for the big day. Thank you to everyone for traveling and putting in the effort to see our love. See you in May!
