The answer to that is because of Brandon's last name being Crocker. His ninth grade teacher gave him that nickname because of his last name and it stuck like glue.

The lovely internet brought Brandon and Madison together by the use of Facebook Dating. They met in person after a couple of weeks of talking and had a romantic walk on the beach at midnight.
