Our Wedding

OUR LOVE STORY

Our story began at Oklahoma State University, where we first met through a student ministry organization called StuMo. At the time, we were just two students passionate about growing in our faith and finding community on campus. That community would ultimately change the course of our lives — and our story together. One summer during college, we both made the decision to attend Kaleo, a discipleship program through StuMo held in Orlando, Florida. There, we spent the summer growing in our faith, working jobs, and living in fellowship. Without planning it, we both chose to work at the same place — Splitsville, a bowling alley in Disney Springs. Little did Mason know, the whole time… Madison had a crush on him. But to no surprise, Mason was completely oblivious. After that summer, life moved forward. We both finished college, took jobs, and moved into post-grad life. A few years later after Kaleo, God crossed our paths again — this time in Oklahoma City, at Crossings Community Church. It was a Tuesday night at their young adult gathering, when Mason spotted Madison sitting with a group of friends and decided to go say hi. What started as a simple, casual conversation quickly turned into a coffee date… and then another… and another. Our first official date is still one of our favorites: we sat and talked for hours on the rooftop of Hall’s Pizza Kitchen, played a game of putt-putt, and finished the night with affogatos from Perets. That night was the start of something sweet and steady — a relationship marked by laughter, deep conversations, and a growing sense that this could really be it! Over the next 11 months, we shared so many memories — from road trips and game nights to slither.io battles and walks around the neighborhood. But we also experienced a season of long distance, where we learned what it really meant to communicate, to listen, and to fight for each other even when it wasn’t easy. Long FaceTime calls, prayer, patience, and our love for one another helped carry us through. That time was stretching — but it was also strengthening. It helped us realize something that had been growing quietly all along: we never wanted to do life apart again. In all the fun, joy, challenges, and growth — the one thing that’s remained at the center of our relationship is our shared faith. Our love for Jesus is the foundation of our lives, and it’s what first drew us to each other. We both live with a desire to share that love with others, and we knew early on that this wasn’t just a relationship — it was a calling to do life, mission, and ministry together. We’re so grateful for every twist, turn, and moment that brought us here. And we’re even more excited for the future — to keep walking hand in hand, with Christ at the center, as we step into marriage!
